Fox Knives folder FX-800 MK is a multitool in karambit form! The 2.36” N690 stainless steel blade consists of a chisel tip and a seat belt cutter, but that is just the beginning. The blade is released from the textured G10 scales by either a flipper tab or a Phillips head screwdriver that functions as a wave-style opener. A cutout in the blade also offers three different 6-sided wrench sizes.A reversible pocket clip accommodates righties and lefties alike with the blade in a tip-up position. If pocket clips aren’t your thing, the back ring doubles as a carabiner, expanding the attachment options of this innovative tool.No need to worry about the blade closing when you are putting it to work either. A sliding safety is paired up with a strong lockback to keep things secure. The black Cerakote coating provides extra protection for the blade itself. The cobalt-alloyed N690 by Böhler is a very reliable upper middle-grade steel Fox uses for a wide variety of projects. The fine-grained N690, which ranks above 440C, offers convincing performance data in all areas. It is often sold as N690Co – the “Co” stands for cobalt and describes the exact same steel.
